Meet Our Counselors
As counselors here at ESSENTIALS, we seek to assist our clients in many different ways such as: improving communication skills, finding balance in day to day life, working on emotional regulation or distress tolerance, teaching relaxation strategies, developing healthier relationships, or learning how one’s thoughts are connected to emotions and actions.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. I have over twenty years of counseling experience with individuals and families, improving relationships, working with parents, and helping individuals with emotional issues, relationship issues, divorce, and grief. I believe in fostering a non-judgmental relationship with individuals and practice from a strengths-based perspective, focusing on one’s assets and potential. I practice dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational enhancement, and person-centered techniques to assist patients in reaching their goals.
My purpose is to help individuals improve coping skills, increase personal happiness, and discover stability in daily life. I have a passion for counseling and strive to improve the life of my client in ways that are both personally and relationally beneficial to them.

We all struggle with trying to understand ourselves and the world around us. We go through experiences that can either help us grow or make us feel stuck. I strive to help clients progress to a place they want to be and achieve the growth they’re looking for.
I work with adults and adolescents dealing with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma,
relationship issues, etc. I have experience in inpatient treatment working with a variety of different psychiatric disorders and situations. I have experience in career counseling and helping people of all ages navigate career decisions or changes.
In my work with clients I take a client-centered approach, viewing counseling as a collaborative effort on both client and therapist. If you are looking for someone to work with you, and help you through whatever stage in life you are at, feel free to call me for a free consult. Let’s talk to see how I can best help you get to where you want to be in life.

As a family, you encounter difficulties in family dynamics, effective communication, conflict resolution and/or struggle with behavioral issues with the kids. You find yourselves struggling on a regular basis and not enjoying the time you are together. It can feel like you are always dealing with conflict in the family or behavioral issues rather than spending quality time with each other, but you are ready to make a change. You’re ready to find how your family can work together to resolve conflict and behavioral issues. Most of all, you’re ready to focus on enjoying the time you spend together. I want to help you get there.
Clients come to me needing a safe place to discuss their family and explore creative solutions. Therapy should be a place where you can be open and vulnerable without fear of judgment. Sessions with me are a time to explore where you have already been and to work together to find solutions that are authentic to you and your family in moving forward.
I’ll meet you where you are on your unique journey and offer the support you need as you work towards becoming the family you envision. A life where you work together and enjoy your time together is possible. You don’t have to continue struggling and you don’t have to work alone. Call today for a free 10 minute consultation. I can’t wait to hear from you.
